Frequently asked questions

Do BluChic themes work on WordPress.com?

No, BluChic Themes only work on self-hosted WordPress which can be downloaded from WordPress.org. You’ll need a domain name and hosting account first.

Is it possible to upload my own logo to replace the default logo (Chamomile text with pink banner underneath and watercolor)?

Yes, possible. Photoshop file of the header is included in the purchase so you can choose to edit the logo designed for your theme package or upload your own logo. Here’s the documentation on how to upload header logo.

Can the homepage feature the slider and then have the blog layout below it?

Yes, homepage can be slider follows by blog layout below it.

Can the slider be modified to show one (1) big rotating image instead of three (3) smaller slider images, like in Beverly theme?
Is it possible to change all the cursive fonts to other font type?

Generally our themes don’t come with hundred choice of fonts, as we tend to design for a particular aesthetic. But if you don’t like the original font and prefer to use other font type, you can change to other Google Fonts – here’s the tutorial. Please note that CSS knowledge is required.

Are all of the color elements customizable?

Most of the color elements can be changed in Theme Options using Color Wheel Picker; includes top line (before header), slider title’s background, footer background, social media icons, link, button, heading, social media icons,

Some are images that need to be replaced; such as double line at menu navigation, ////// line, blog post date, right/left arrow of slider. While some require Custom CSS; such as single line below menu navigation, dotted lin at the footer (before footer credit).
