Learn how you can get people to take ACTION on your website (aka buy your products or services!)

1 | Start with the End

As a business owner, it’s great when you have alllllll the ideas. But when it comes to offering products and services to your customers, it’s better to have a solid, focused strategy first.

That could mean jumping out of the gate with only a few products or services and seeing how those perform before you add more to your repertoire.

But the most important thing here is deciding what your end goal is.

What is it that you want your customers to do?

We talk about this more in our post on how to make your first $1,000 but it’s imperative to think about the action you want people to take that’s going to make you money.

2 | Create Killer Content

To strengthen the user experience of your website and boost SEO, create content that is related to your paid offerings. A great way to do this is with a blog on your site and your social media posts. Blogs especially help educate your customers about the products and services you offer.

At Bluchic, our focus is offering pre-designed WordPress Themes as well as the following Sales Funnel Templates and Add-On Templates. We like to tie our blog content directly into those products.

For example, our blog post on how to use targeted landing pages to sell your digital products or services directly ties into one of our paid products, our Sales Funnel Templates.

Not only is this helpful for your client or customer base, but it shows them you care about maximizing their investment in your product or service.

3 | Make Yourself Look Good

By now you know that you must have a website for customers to take your website seriously. But any old website just won’t do.

To showcase yourself as a professional, trustworthy business owner, your website’s design needs to follow suit.

The design should strike the perfect balance of not being too cluttered or having too much white space while always being pleasing to the eye (because you want your customers to enjoy spending time there!).

But in the land of website design, you do get what you pay for.

Investing in your website will help your business grow faster and increase the overall customer experience.

If you don’t know where to start, check out our amazing WordPress Themes. If you have a website and want to take it to the next level, our Sales Funnel Templates will help you grow your list and help you make sales on autopilot (and there’s no monthly fee!).

4 | Make Yourself Sound Good Too

Your visually pleasing, professionally designed website is always going to be stronger when you have an amazing copy to go along with it.

Your first step should be deciding what your audience wants to read and make a plan from there.

Create an outline for yourself with the points you want to make on each page of your website.

Like your website’s design, it’s important to strike the perfect balance of not having too much copy while also still being informational and helpful to your readers. And after you write your copy, read it, then read it again (and again!).

Your site should have zero grammatical errors to make the strongest impact.

5 | Create Calls to Action

Part of your copy strategy should include strong calls to action throughout your site so your customers know what you want them to do. Whether it’s “Add to cart” on your product page or “Hire me today!”

That type of clear, concise language doesn’t leave room for questions.

Softer calls to action like “Learn more” or “Discover why” will leave your customers wanting more and can lessen the quality of your user experience.

6 | Promote the right way

After your website design and copy are in place, next comes promoting yourself to the right audience.

These are the people who are going to buy your product or service. Before you start promoting, do market research to find out who your ideal customer is and where they are so you can develop a strategy for targeting them.

Part of this strategy includes different ways you can promote your business.

This can include social media posts (on Facebook or Twitter), Facebook or Instagram Lives to directly communicate with your audience in real-time, or pitching your business to different podcasts.

You can also reach out to other business owners that complement your products or services to be a guest blogger.
